FAQ

QuestionsAnswers
What is BC2M? BC2M is a non-profit organization dedicated to mental health advocacy. The organization empowers high school students to join the fight to end stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness.
When do you meet? Two Thursdays a month at 3PM
What benefits do I get out of this club?Casual discussions about mental health, more knowledge on a variety of mental illnesses, and a space to relax and have fun. Oh and a year's subscription to a meditation app called Headspace. :)
What if I'm not really comfortable with talking about my personal experiences with mental health? That's alright! Talking about mental health can be hard, so you're always welcome to share as much or as little as you'd like. If you don't want to talk about your specific situation, just join our calls, listen to our mini-presentations, and enjoy the activities!
How is the club structured? We have two meetings every month. The first is more informational. We usually give a presentation on a topic regarding mental health (ex: stress in students; social media and mental health). The second meeting is the fun meeting! We do reflective activities together and play games sometimes.
How are the credits for this club structured? Do you have a point system? We know that points can be tedious and stressful to keep track of, especially when all your clubs are using their own point systems. Our club runs on an attendance-based system instead.

BC2M Week!

The Bring Change to Mind (BC2M) High School Program is excited to present our Third “BC2M Week”, where we invite all of our clubs nationwide to join us for this unified demonstration of our student-led work. Starting February 22nd, 2021, BC2M is dedicating this five-day campaign to highlight some of the various intersections surrounding mental health. These include BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, COVID, and Impostor Syndrome, and Negative Self-Talk. We encourage our entire BC2M community to join us in sharing this inspirational week with your family, friends, and social networks.

Throughout this week, we aim to encourage our clubs to explore these intersections and educate others in your community about these topics. For each day’s theme, we have suggested a few different ways you can engage in this campaign. Most activities incorporate social media elements to help you spread the message among your community and throughout the greater BC2M network.

We are thrilled to have our 320 clubs and over 10,000 youth members participate in this third program-wide campaign, and we can't wait for you to be a part of this growing collective!

Remember to think BIG! We’re so excited to see what you all do this year!!
